Teaching is a skill most have learned through observing good teachers and sometimes not so good teachers. While these acquired skills may be very good, even a small exposure to what our educational science colleagues have learned can have a large impact on our teaching.
APGO (Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics), working with the Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, has produced a series of 10 brief videos, “designed to provide faculty development to enhance teaching effectiveness and engage university and community-based educators as well as provide an ideal solution to enhancing residents-as-teachers programming.” This course is available to everyone and will take a little over an hour to complete.
